Come Ride the Lakes

I just wanted to invite the North bay Cycling club to come down for the Spin the Lakes Cycle Tour June 1st 2008.

It is a great ride consisting of 50, 100 and 160km routes , very scenic.

Individual Time Trials are held every second Thursday starting the first Thursday in June through September.  Meeting place is Cheapskates Sports on Main St., leaving at 6:00PM, with a warmup ride to the TT start behind the airport.

Course Decription: 

• The course consists of a 4.8KM out and 4.8KM return both on Chadbourne Drive.  This is a rolling course with normally light with traffic.

Rules:

• Yellow line rule is in effect, traffic is to be expected.  
• All Starters begin at the white line on Four Mile Lake Road, rolling starts are not permitted, bike holding by another person is not permitted.
• Non Drafting rules apply, do not lingre within 100M behind any rider, pass clearly and quickly.
• Take care at the turn around point, (clearly marked with a curved white line), that there is no oncomming traffic.
• At the end of Chadbourn, when turningn left onto Four Mile Lake Road, do not cross the yellow line, this corner is not marshalled!

Timing:

• Riders are to be released at intervals of no less than 1 minute.
• If possible, have another person watch the Chadbourne/Four Mile corner for incomming finishers to avoid traffic.
